Join Frazer Smith, an elder and wisdom keeper from Tsartlip First Nation for this two part series to make your own rattle. It is a beautiful way to participate in Indigenous cultural appreciation and awareness.
This is the making of a medicine that will provide a tool used for music or healing. Rattles will be made out of hide and sound beads and decorations are provided. You are more than welcome to bring your own additions if there is something sacred and special to you.
It is a two part series as the hide needs time to dry and you need to be present at both sessions in order to complete the rattle.
If you or anyone you know has economic barriers to participate, we have a community fund set up for this purpose. We can assist to ensure you are able to attend. No one will be turned away.
Registration closes Jan 4 to allow time to purchase the required materials.
The studio retains no portion of the proceeds from this workshop.
